I had the idea for Songs I Didn’t Write after reading an article about how people stop seeking out new music around the age of 30 and how our musical tastes get locked in even earlier than that. I do think a declining interest in new music is natural—as we get older, we get set in our ways and need music less and less as an emotional outlet—but the other part of the issue is that as we get older we have fewer quality sources to discover music from. So my goal here is share with you the music that I love, and maybe you’ll love it too, or at least find it interesting, or maybe it’ll help reignite some of your passion for discovering music.
